A 32 year-old Vietnamese man showed up at a Singaporean neighbor’s door on Sunday, begging for help as he bled profusely from a deep slash to his face.
The incident took place at about 3PM on 23 July at the 4th floor of Block 340 Ubi Road 1.
According to eye witnesses, the man had been drinking with a group of 5 men in a flat when they got into a fight. One of the men subsequently slashed the Vietnamese victim in the face with a knife, forcing the rest of the group to run from the scene.
The victim ran to a neighbor’s house, knocking frantically for help. His neighbor answered the door and was shocked to see the man bleeding profusely from his face. She called the police, and the man ran off to confront his attacker without waiting for first aid.
The victim is recuperating in the hospital.
Police are investigating.
