A netizen was returning from a day trip to Malaysia, but ended up getting interviewed by Immigration and Checkpoint Authority (ICA) officers because Malaysia customs stamped the wrong exit date on her passport!
According to the netizen, the Malaysian immigration officials had stamped the wrong entry stamp. From the photo, it shows that the netizen was given two KELUAR stamps, where Keluar means exit. This led ICA officers to pull the netizen aside for questioning for 30 minutes to do their checks before the misunderstanding was cleared.
It was very likely that the netizen was not the only person who ended up being interviewed because of Malaysia’s administrative error.
The netizen said that a quick tip on how to check your entry and exit stamps is to know that the entry stamps are in blue while the exit stamps are usually in red.
