A netizen has shared the experience of a poor elderly valet who was abused by a customer for no fault of his own during the course of sending 2 drunk men home.
According to the netizen, the driver Uncle Kumar was ferrying 2 men home after their night of drinking from East Coast Park Lagoon to Choa Chu Kang and Jurong West. Mid-way through the journey, the customer's drunk friend vomited in the back seat of the car. Uncle Kumar was then told to turn the car to the nearest car wash along the way.
At the car wash, the customer turned abusive towards the elderly valet and said that he would not pay the poor valet the measely $38 for driving them home. Passersby had to intervene when they spotted the unreasonable customer verbally abusing the humble valet. They felt that they could not stand by and watch the defenceless old man taking the abuse alone.
The customer subsequently told the police officers who arrived to settle the dispute that he did not want to pay even though he had the money with him.
