Dear A.S.S. Editor
Who knew a one hour lunch break will make the news? It happened, as after a public consultation, the SGX is going ahead with changes that will allow stock traders a noon break.
From 13 November onward, the stock market will be closed from 12 noon to 1 pm, to allow traders to fill their stomach before trading continues.
What this means is that from November onward, expect a rush of stock traders from noon, all in a hurry to get seats, their food and eat before rushing back to their posts for trading to continue. Wonder if traders are allowed back in to the mad world of stock trading if they come back just after 1 pm.
