OIL SLICK STAINS PARTS OF EAST COAST PARK BEACH

The beach along East Coast Park was tarred with black slicks of oil along the shoreline, tarnishing its usual pristine look. When reporters arrived at the scene, there was a strong smell of grease in the air and the oil slick affected about 300m of the beach.

Contractors from NEA were at the scene to help with the clean up. Businesses along the beach were affected as patrons were affected by the greasy smell.
