Did you know that taxi fares in Singapore are actually the 20th cheapest in the world?
According to a survey by UK-based car dealer Carspring, it is not that expensive to take a taxi in Singapore as compared to many other countries. Among the 80 most visited cities they surveyed, Cairo had the cheapest taxi fare, where a 3km journey will only cost you 75 cents! A journey of the same distance will cost you more than $4 here.
The survey supposedly took into account many factors such as the cost to hail a taxi, to travel from city centre to the airport, and cost per km.
Do you think it’s accurate? If it’s really that cheap we wouldn’t have to tahan train delays everyday.
