SCDF WARNS S’POREANS TO STAY AWAY FROM KALLANG BUILDING DUE TO CHEMICAL LEAK

In an emergency broadcast to Singaporeans on social media, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) warned Singaporeans to stay away from an industrial building at 166 Kallang Way.

The incident was later confirmed to be a chemical leak, which left 9 people injured. There were no fatalities.

A SCDF spokesperson responding to media inquiries stated that SCDF Hazardous Materials (HazMat) officers were on the scene and had managed to contain the chemical leak in a sealed production room.

Boxes were seen being removed by SCDF officers from the building as at 3.10PM.
