A 30 year old man was sentenced to 2 years jail and 6 strokes of the cane for attempting to stab and rob a pregnant woman. He was motivated by anger as he had lost his job that day.
He took a 13cm-long knife from home and barged into a mini mart at Tampines St 41 with the intention of robbing the cashier. He was however scared off by the screaming pregnant woman and a shop assistant who was thankfully there to help. The pregnant woman was unharmed.
Yikes, at least he doesn’t have to worry about getting a job for the next 2 years?
