SKI MASKS WEARING YOUTHS ARRESTED AT BISHAN

Four youths, aged between 14 and 16 years old, were arrested in Bishan by the Police for conspiracy to commit a robbery. The Police were alerted about a group of men wearing black ski masks at Bishan Street 12 around 12.55 am on Sunday.

Police from Tanglin Division were immediately activated and were successful in arresting all 4 suspects at Bishan Road. According to Police reports, all four youths were planning a robbery around the area, but abandoned the plans, although it was not made known why they abandoned their robbery plans.

Investigations on the four youths are still ongoing. If found guilty, they can be jailed between 2 to 10 years, and at least 6 strokes of the cane. But if the robbery were carried out between 7pm and 7am, they face three to 14 years jail, and caned at least 12 times.
