Dear A.S.S. Editor
The recent revelation over social media that NDP tickets are being sold over online platforms such as Carousell, eBay and Craiglist for a hefty sum of $400 has not gone unnoticed by the authorities.
The NDP committee has already indicated before that they will ban anyone found touting tickets from any future balloting. The committee further stated that they take serious views of the sale and unauthorised distribution of the tickets, which includes selling the tickets by packaging them with other items.
The Public are reminded that all tickets are issued with serial numbers and thus can be traced to the original recipients. However, reports indicate that they are currently no fines for anyone touting NDP tickets. The NDP committee have made an appeal to sale sites to remove the posts touting the sale of tickets, and also reminded the public ot be aware of scammers.
