Dear A.S.S. Editor
A Singaporean man have won a Malaysian Badminton final, and he was not even seeded. He defeated 11th seeded Malaysian, Cheam June Wei to win the Malaysia International Series on Sunday. His name? Loh Kean Yew. Yes, LKY.
Kean Yew is currently World No 307, and this is his first tournament win since 2014. he had defeated the 16th, 12th and 10th seeds en route to the Malaysian final. The International Series tournaments represents the fourth level of Badminton World Federation events. Kean Yew is currently serving his NS, and his win was a pleasant surprise even for the Singapore Badminton Association.
This is a good practice ground for Kean Yew, who is looking to improve on his last SEA Games showing when he won a Bronze medal.
