Enterprising netizens have taken to the internet to sell National Day Parade 2017 tickets despite strict prohibitions against such sales.
According to a netizen, who complained about one of the resellers, she and her family had been bidding for several years to attend the parade, but to no avail.
When she logged on to Carousell, she saw this seller trying to make a quick profit off his available tickets.
She wrote: “Why is the government wasting tickets on ungrateful people like this? We have been trying to go to the parade for years but this person simply just selling the tickets for $50 a person. Is this right?”
Adding that the man selling the tickets had been fined before last year, she wondered if the authorities were serious about taking down the blackmarket selling NDP tickets illegally.
