Why is it that out of the 7 people I know who got into NUS Medicine, I feel that only 2 have a true heart to serve? :/ The rest are just after prestige / money, or are simply selfish / insensitive / heartless.
1 of the 5 even messaged me, rubbing her acceptance into my face, mocking me for not being able to get a place in NUS Med. I really do hope their hearts will change for the better over time.
Hopefully, the compassionate students in the course can influence them positively and awaken their inner goodness before they become full-fledged doctors. I want to have faith in the future of Singapore’s healthcare 🙁
