SingPost will be taking disciplinary actions against the postman who left residents' letters at a void deck table in Jurong instead of in letterboxes (read more about the article here). It apologised for the lapse and explained that its staff was only 5 months into the job.
It also clarified that the postman merely left a bundle of letters behind, and that it was "a member of a public (who) likely undid the bundle and went through the stack before leaving them on the table".
All the letters have since been delivered, with SingPost assuring the public that it will remind its postmen to be more careful in ensuring mail security. Next time if your letter is not in the letterbox, try the void deck table.
