Commuters woke up to yet another day of MRT delays this morning along the North South Line.
The delay was first reported by commuters who were stuck at stations and MRT trains along the North South Line at about 7.30AM this morning. At 8.31AM, SMRT tweeted an announcement informing commuters to expect an additional 30 minutes of waiting time for their journeys along the North South Line.
Trains were subsequently restored at 9.14AM.
Expectedly, netizens have taken to social media to express their frustrations.
One netizen Shafiqah wrote: “ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I’M STUCK IN THIS BLOODY TRAIN AND YOU HAVE THE CHEEK TO TELL ME IT’S GONNA STAY PUT FOR ANOTHER 30 GOD DAMN MINS!!!!!!”
Another netizen, Summerboy, wrote: “@SMRT_Singapore Mrt should be awarded the highest system breakdown occurrence Guinness Book of records.”
