Seems like we have all been tricked by Grab. The widely circulated photos of Grab bikes were not actually Grab rolling out a new GrabBike service, but instead, it was the launch of their enforcement team.
The Grab team of enforcement officers are out there on the roads to ensure that Grab’s driver-partners have the correct licences. Called the Grab Enforcement Team (GET), the small team of enforcement officers, who have several year’s experience in law enforcement and security, will be riding the Grab branded motorbikes and cars around the island.
Their main duties are to ensure all Grab driver-partners display the proper serialised tamper-evident decals, and that their PDVL are carried at all times. Typical Singapore, where everything and anything under the sun needs to be licenced, and needs to be checked by enforcement officers.
