A boy was sent to the hospital after suffering deep cuts to his face from playing with his fidget spinner. He needed 13 stitches.
He and his father were trying to use compressed air to make the fidget spinner go faster when it burst into pieces and shot off in all directions. One of the sharper pieces sliced the boy’s face, just on top of his mouth, causing a deep and bloody gash.
A doctor from Raffles Medical advised against improper use of fidget spinners but said that the toy is otherwise safe.
Parents, watch out for your kids and make sure they don’t anyhow play with it!
