EAST WEST MRT LINE GOES DOWN AFTER NORTH SOUTH LINE TRAINS RESUME

A track fault that shut down the North South (Red) MRT line this morning has been followed up with yet another delay in MRT services along the East West (Green) line.

Commuters have reportied seeing waiting times of up to 19 minutes along the EWL. On Twitter, a commuter wrote that she had been left waiting aimlessly without any proper guidance or announcements from SMRT staff in the station.

At the time of reporting, SMRT has yet to make any announcements over the delay on the EWL. It has also not issued any apologies for the delays along the NSL.
