NETIZEN CLAIMS DOUBLE STANDARDS IF GOVT ENTERTAINED LEE SIBLINGS BCUZ THEY ARE LKY CHILDREN

In the eyes of the Government, both of you are simple, common citizen. All the more because you’re Mr. Lee Kuan Yew’s children.

If the Government responded/acceded to your requests, then they will have to do the same for every Tom, Dick and Mary who asks that their house not be demolished for development because it is their father’s will for the house to be handed down to all generations, who asks for details for all kinds of thing the Government are doing, or had done or will do, … blah, blah.

Once the Government give in to one citizen like you, they have set a precedent. Otherwise, they will be accuse of practising Doubling Standard.

The ministers entertained you because they knew you, give you ‘face’ because you’re Mr. Lee’s children. But on Government’s issue, they stand firm.

So, don’t ask for special treatment or special privilege. You and your sister are no different than any other citizen of Singapore. The estate of Mr. Lee is no different to any other estates – all are equal in the eye of the Law. Yes, even the family of our beloved Mr. Lee Kuan Yew.

That is what a CLEAN Government should be. That is what your brother PM Lee is trying to uphold – the very principle your father Mr. Lee Kuan Yew had lived on.
