A netizen shared a shocking surge price of up to $56 dollars today when he tried to use the JustGrab service in the after hours of the MRT breakdowns this evening.
According to the netizen, he was headed from the Central Business District to the Woodlands Checkpoint. When he tried to use JustGrab, the transport app company’s aggregate service which allows users to call for either a taxi or a private hire car, he was shocked to find the fare had nearly doubled.
He wrote: “When MRT down. This is the price we will need to pay for JustGrab. Why not change new call JUSTROB.”
