SLOW SERVICE ON THE NORTH SOUTH AND EAST WEST LINE IN AM RUSH HOUR, SMRT MADE NO COMMENTS

Dear A.S.S. Editor

All the Hari Raya goodwill over the weekend over for our MRT lines. Commuters this morning complained of slow train services during peak hour morning period, along the North-South and East-West lines. Those affected said that train services at Clementi station, as well as from Jurong East station to Joo Koon station were slow, with some saying it took almost an hour to get from Jurong East to Joo Koon, which are five stops apart.

No announcements were made by SMRT early this morning on the slow train services to inform passengers that they might take more time than normal to get to their destinations. It was, however, understood that there was a train fault at Tuas Link station along the East-West line, as well as a train with a stuck brake along the North-South line.

Although train services seem back to normal by 10 am, station staff confirmed that there were delays earlier in the morning. No word on hwy SMRT did not inform commuters of the delay this time around.
