A netizen has shared experience of catching several Bangladeshi or Indian workers taking photographs of women at Sentosa beach without their permission, an act that she feels is a danger to these women’s safety.
According to the netizen, she visits Sentosa very often with her family, but is always shocked to see foreign workers there taking out their phones to capture shots of innocent, unsuspecting girls on the beach. Many of the girls are in their swim wear and she suspects that these photographs of the women are being used for no good.
She wrote: “I am in my own country. Y do i have to feel fearful when we juz wanna enjoy a family holiday?
“Are they allowed to take photo of ladies in public like that? Is this legal? Can anything be done to protect our privacy?”
She warns all women to be vigilant and keep a look out when they are at Sentosa for their own safety.
