61 YEAR OLD MAN TAKEN TO HOSPITAL AFTER BEING HIT BY DRUNK LORRY DRIVER

A drunk 26 year old man crashed his lorry into a car along Guillemard Road early on Monday morning, causing a 61 year old man, who was the driver of the car, to be taken to hospital.

Reports showed a lorry beside a black car, which had mounted the kerb. Police confirmed that they were alerted to the accident at about 4:06am at the junction of Guillemard Road and Guillemard Crescent.The 61 year old man was taken conscious to the hospital, although his injuries were not reported.

The male lorry driver was arrested for drink driving. Police are still investigating the accident.
