FRAUDULENT GRAB DRIVER “PICK” AND “DROP” PASSENGER BUT DID NOT TURN UP AT ALL

A netizen wants to warn other users of fraudulent Grab drivers who press the pick up and drop off button on their apps without even making an effort to actually pick them up at all.

According to the netizen, he encountered this form of fraudulent behavior from Grab drivers several times.

In the latest incident, he had been using a Grab promotion code for a discounted ride, but was informed last minute by his driver that he could not make it because of a punctured tire.

When the driver asked the passenger to cancel his ride for him, the passenger refused. The dishonest driver ended up pressing the pick and drop off function in his app as if he had already completed the ride. This meant that the driver had earned money from not doing anything other than pressing a few buttons on his app!
