HEAVY DOWNPOUR CAUSED TREE TO FALL ON PIE, NO INJURIES REPORTED

Dear A.S.S. Editor

The heavy rain that affected Singapore this Friday morning have caused some havoc on the PIE heading towards Changi before the Lornie Road exit. A tree branch fell on the road, blocking one lane of the expressway.

LTA confirmed via their Twitter account that at 10:14am, the tree branch fell on the expressway, causing a massive jam there. There were no reports of the tree falling on any vehicles that might have passed through during the particular time.

Separately, the National Environment Agency warned of downpours from 10am to 11am on Friday.
