ANOTHER TRANS CAB TAXI CATCHES FIRE, THE THIRD IN THREE MONTHS

Dear A.S.S. Editor

A Trans-Cab taxi caught fire along Moulmein Road near the slip road from CTE towards SLE on Wednesday afternoon, which is the third such incident involving Trans-Cab taxis in the space of three months.

SCDF confirmed that the fire, which involved the engine compartment of the taxi, was reported at 2:45pm, and was put out using a water jet. There were no reports of injuries, and investigations of how the cab caught fire are being investigated. It is understood that the taxi was not a CNG vehicle.

No reports on whether the taxi was involved in an accident prior to catching fire, but according to eye witnesses, there were no other vehicles reported.
