60 YEAR OLD FRUIT SELLER ATTACKED NEA OFFICERS, HURLED VULGARITIES

Dear A.S.S. Editor

A 60 year old fruit seller was arrested for attacking and hurling vulgarities at three NEA officers on Monday. According to Police reports, the NEA officers were doing their routine checks along Arumugam Road in Ubi when they saw the suspect selling fruits without a valid licence.

The man, who was not named, tried to run away, but was caught. It was at this point that the man became agitated. He first punched and headbutted the first NEA officer and spat at the second NEA officer. He also slammed his car door on the third NEA officer. Throughout the incident, the man was hurling vulgarities at the men.

The man was hauled to court on Wednesday, charged with using abusive language on a public officer.
