A netizen spotted this familiar local delicacy in a premium shopping outlet in Gotemba, Shizuoka, Japan.
Feeling hungry, he decided to take a closer look at the prices, but was shocked to discover that a simple plate of chicken rice would set him back by at least S$10! The staff at the stall also did not appear to be Singaporeans, they were local Japanese staff.
He decided to buy a plate anyway and found the food to be of a reasonable quality. However, he felt that the food was too expensive.
