Dear A.S.S. Editor
It seems like the Traffic Police are now taking a no-nonsense approach in the policing of heavy vehicles. They have announced that they are running a month long enforcement operations against errant drivers of heavy vehicles.
This comes at the back of two fatal accidents involving heavy vehicles this week, bringing the number of fatalities to three for June alone. Amongst measures adopted by the TP, it would seem like one of those is TP using normal unmarked cars as their enforcement vehicles.
It seems their mantra is to strike when you least expect it. Good, then the drivers of these heavy vehicles will have to remain vigilant at all times on the roads, not only when they see TP in their marked cars or motorbikes.
