What is there to deliberate, Lee Hsien Loong? Watch this interview of LKY in 2011 where he expressed his desire to have his Oxley Road home demolished after his death. In the interview, he cites two main reasons for that decision:
1. Cost of preservation – as the house was built more than 100 years ago and does not have a foundation, as a result of which cracks have started to appear due to construction nearby.
2. To free up constraints of the neighbouring land as developers are prohibited from constructing buildings beyond a certain height. Demolishing the house will therefore free up the surrounding area.
Why then are Lee Hsien Loong and his cabinet of useless ministers still discussing about what to do with the house?
