Authorities may take action against a family member of the detained woman, Syaikhah Izzah Zarah Al Ansari, for destroying important evidence on her plans to join ISIS. The family member attempted to erase the evidence after she was put under investigation. This comes even though they were against ISIS and did not support her radical ideas.
The Ministry of Home Affairs said “The Government takes a serious view of the withholding of information that is pertinent to the safety and security of Singapore and Singaporeans… This is especially so if the failure to report leads to violent activities that would kill or cause harm to others”.
It is a pity they didn’t know that reporting her would also mean helping her. Still try to destroy evidence? GG la.
