POLICE ARREST 13 FOR GANG ACTIVITIES AFTER VIDEO OF INDIAN FUNERAL GOES VIRAL

The Singapore Police Force has arrest 13 people for gang-related activities after the Criminal Investigation Department and Jurong Police Division conducted a 7 day operation from 4 June to 10 June 2017.

The police were first alerted to a gathering of secret society members after they received information about a wake and funeral procession at Block 483 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 5. The wake was held for a prominent Indian individual named Mike Chelvam.

A viral video showing the attendees at the wake chanting secret society slogans with music accompaniment at Mandai Crematorium was later uploaded by a netizen who was at the event.
