MORE ILLEGALS CAUGHT WORKING IN GEYLANG RAMADAN BAZAAR

Dear A.S.S. Editor

Another 9 illegal foreign workers were arrested at the Geylang Ramadan Bazaar yesterday in a joint operation by the NEA, MOM and the Police. The foreign workers were found to be working as food handlers.

Just last month, more than 20 illegal foreign workers were arrested in the same bazaar in another operation by the authorities. For the past two years, MOM has launched a total of 76 such operations in bazaars all around Singapore, and have thus far arrested 257 illegal workers.

It remains to be seen if any more illegal foreign workers are still working at the Ramadan Bazaar in Geylang. The bazaar this year certainly have been given a bad name by all these unwanted news.
