FAKE NEWS: NEA INVESTIGATING CLAIMS OF CAT & DOG SATAY SOLD @ GEYLANG RAMADAN BAZAAR

NEA is investigating allegations of cat and dog meat satay being sold at the Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar. The fake news facebook post warned that Stall 124 was caught by Ministry of Health officials for marinating dog and cat meat in their satay.

However, MOH and MOM clarified that there were no arrests made of sellers mixing dog and cat meat into the food sold. Only 22 unlicensed food handlers were arrested in the raid conducted last month at the bazaar.

Further investigations are ongoing to debunk such baseless rumours.
