SMRT MAINTENANCE LOCOMOTIVE DERAILED @ ULU PANDAN DEPOT

An SMRT maintenance locomotive train derailed at Ulu Pandan Deport on Wednesday morning while crossing a junction. This vehicle is used to propel maintenance vehicles and other heavy machinery in the depot. The incident happened at around 5.30am.

According to SMRT spokesman, the maintenance locomotive was hauling a track tamping vehicle back to depot when it jumped the rail. Forunately no train launches were affected due to the derailment.
