CATHAY STANDS BY PINK DOT, ALMOST WANTED TO SCREEN ADS IN CINEMAS

Following the commotion about Pink Dot’s advertisement in Cathay Cineleisure, Cathay spokesperson’s responded by standing by its decision and saying it is an inclusive company which accepts a culture of equality.

Funny why some people are making a fuss over this now as Cathay has been openly supporting the cause for a few years already. It was a corporate sponsor and even wanted to screen Pink Dot’s trailer in its cinemas if not for strict censorship by the Media Development Authority.

The authorities have also confirmed that Pink Dot organisers are allowed to carry out their promotional activities because they already have a licence.

Do you think this is still a cause for worry?
