SINGAPORE DUO FINISHED IN THE QUARTER FINALS OF THE DART WORLD CUP

Dear A.S.S. Editor

By now, the news will be all over the papers and other media, that Singapore’s duo at the World Cup of Darts have made history for us by reaching the quarter finals of the tournament. Although they eventually lost to the Belgium eight seeds, to have reached this far in the tournament certainly was not expected.

They had beaten the top seeds in this tournament, the pair from Scotland, and had also overcame Spain, to reach the last eight of the tournament. Before this, no one in Singapore has probably heard of Paul Lim and Harith Lim, but after their heroics in the tournament, they will now come back home to Singapore to a hero’s welcome. Wonder which Minister will be waiting for them when they return home. Will also be interesting what the Minister will say about the duo. Very sure nobody even knew there was a World Cup of Darts, much less one where a Singapore team was participating in, and manaegd a quarter final finish.

The pair each gets to pocket £7,000, but more than that, they gained the respect of the watching crowd and the field of competitors themselves. They had shocked the world, and now, they will return to a hero’s welcome in Singapore.
