A kind soul witnessed an elderly Malay lady who was shouted at by another man in the queue after she had trouble paying for her breakfast due to a lack of money.
Feeling sorry for the woman, the kind lady decided to pay for the elderly lady.
She wrote: “I was dropping by to get some food for break fast last Sunday after our project. While waiting for the food,i overheard someone raising his voice towards this makcik.to cut the story short, makcik shortage of cash to pay what she order and the person behind her making a fuss and start to shout to her by saying,”no money dont orderlah!!wanna eat nice food but dont wanna pay.”(translate to english)and sad to say and i feel ashamed as it is “abang” criticizing this makcik!!”
She approached the counter and paid for the lady’s portion including her own. With tears in her eyes, the elderly lady thanked her for her kindness and showed her the wallet she held in her hands, which did not even have more than $5.
As she spoke with the elderly lady, she found out that the lady was staying with her sick husband in a rental flat nearby. She thought she had enough to buy food for her husband, but realized that she could not afford the food at the stall.
Looking upon the poor condition of the flat, the kind soul was stricken with sadness.
She had these words for the man who scolded the elderly lady: “To that “abang”, May Allah leads u to the right path and forgive u…Insya allah..”
To others, she asks that if you do witness such things happening during the month of Ramadhan, please give willing to help others like the elderly lady, if not just reject in a polite way.
