A man was left gravely injured with bleeding from his head after a fight erupted at Geylang Lorong 9 yesterday at 5PM (28 May). The injured man was seen lying on the ground in a screenshot sent to the media.
According to the netizen, he was in the area looking for food when he saw a fight involving 2 men nearby. A man wearing a black shirt and blue jeans was also seen lying on the ground next to the shop Geylang Famous Beef Kway Teow. He appeared unconscious and bleeding from the head due to a fall.
The quick thinking netizen whipped out his mobile phone and took a video of 2 men who were still exchanging blows, with a man in a red shirt punching a man in white attire. One of the men seemed to be carrying an object that looked like a weapon during the confrontation.
Singapore Police Force officers arrived 10 minutes after a report was made.
The SPF have confirmed that they were alerted to a case of voluntarily causing hurt along 9 Geylang Lorong 9 yesterday. The 42 year-old victim, who was lying on the ground, was relayed conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Investigations are ongoing.
