DRUNKEN MAN RESCUED AFTER 5 HR STAND OFF ON A 20CM WIDE HDB LEDGE

Dear A.S.S. Editor

A 29 year old man was rescued in dramatic fashion by SCDF officers as he precariously sat on an exterior ledge of a HDB flat in Simei on Wednesday.

According to reports, the man had climbed onto the fourth floor ledge at block 161 Simei Road, apparently drunk after quarreling with his girlfriend. The ledge, reportedly less than 20 cm wide, became the man’s temporary home for 5 hours, as he refused to budge.

The police later arrested the man in a case of attempted suicide. SCDF and the Police did not say why the stand off lasted as long as 5 hours, and police investigations are still ongoing.
