PANIC DURING CHANGI AIRPORT T2 FIRE SHOWS SG UNPREPARED FOR EMERGENCIES

I was dining with my hubby at T2 Swensens yesterday when that fire which broke out, disrupted entire operations and turned the whole situation into panic and chaos.

As usual with our ill prepared system, all of us were being evacuated by unsure CAG staffs who just wanted us to leave the building and not helping us to get on our schedules.

It’s only about 10.30pm that things began to calm a little when the various airline staffs started to frantically look for us passengers for proper assembly.

When I finally boarded my flight the following morning, I overheard many visitors to Singapore expressing their disappointment over an often self appraised government which cannot even handle a “small fire” with proper suction for fumes. I wonder what would have occurred if a terrorist attack had taken place instead!
