Police busted a Russian vice ring yesterday and arrested 4 women suspected of carrying out related activities. The raids were conducted on Raffles Boulevard, Tanjong Katong and Cairnhill Rd.
3 of the women who were arrested are from Russia while one is from Uzbekistan. They are on valid work passes and probably made use of their stay here to carry out vice activities.
The police uncovered advertisements of their sexual services on more than 13 online platforms. Customers can hire their “high class” escort service at $500 an hour or book the girls via their mobile phones or email addresses.
One of the suspects will be charged this weekend under the Women’s Charter for living on money earned through prostitution. The others are still undergoing investigations.
So much for “high class”.
