PUNGGOL EAST TOWN COUNCIL SAGA NOT OVER, AUDITORS CLAIMED THEY COULD HAVE SAVED $500K

Dear A.S.S. Editor

More opposition bashing in the media tonight. This time round, a continuation of mud being thrown at the Punggol East Town Council, where the accounting firm PwC said they could have saved at least half a million dollars during the period that the constituency was managed by the Workers’ Party (WP), if it had followed proper procedure in awarding contracts and making payments.

The crux of this issue is again the appointment of FM Solutions and Services (FMSS) as AHPETC’s managing agent. The town council, now managed by the PAP, has said that they will study the troubling report, and will seek legal advice on how to proceed. We await the latest development in this saga, as it does seem that this will not go away any time soon.

If there is any wrongdoing, then make a police report and let the proper authorities handle this. If there are no wrongdoing, then we should all just move on and stop bringing this matter up every few months, as if to remind everyone that opposition managed wards are not up to scratch. Surely this is not the case, right?
