MRT COMMUTER REFUSES TO GIVE UP RESERVED SEAT TO MAN CARRYING BABY, IS HE OBLIGED TO DO SO?

An ASS reader sent in a complaint after witnessing a man refusing to give up his reserved seating even though there was a more needy person nearby. Despite the efforts of the ASS reader to get the man to give up the seat, he was flatly rejected.

Is the man seated on the reserved seating obligated to give up his seat to the man carrying the baby? As a paying customer are we legally obliged to do it?

“Dear ASS,

Ugly behavior I witnessed on the MRT train. This middle aged man seated on a reserved seat, refused to give up his seat to a man who was carrying a baby even after I spoke to him about the situation and asked him to give up the reserved seat to the man with the baby.

I could send a video but would like to remain anonymous. Many thanks
