An Indonesian maid was jailed 4 weeks for lying to MOM and the Police after she attempted to frame her 83 year old elderly employer of physical abuse in order to go home to Indonesia.
Susilawati Narsim Sunah was hired as a maid for less than a month before she desperately wanted out and turned to scheme against her elderly employer Mdm Lim Chin Ai. In November 2016, she went to Ministry of Manpower and accused Mdm Lim of slapping her when she was slow to take a glass of water and said Ah Ma hit her with her walking stick.
From police investigations, it was said that 83 year old Mdm Lim had difficulty moving around without her walking stick and could not have been able to attack anybody at all. When interviewed by a deputy prosecutor from AGC, Susilawati finally came clean with her plot and admitted to cooking up a story so she could return to Indonesia.
