RUSH HOUR TRAIN DELAY ON NORTH-SOUTH EAST-WEST LINES

Rush hour crowds are experiencing yet another train breakdown on Tuesday morning (18 Apr). The breakdown was due to a track fault which affected both the North-South and East-West lines. SMRT initially informed of a 10-minute delay from Bishan to Khatib before increasing it to 20 minutes. It also told commuters that they will have to wait for an additional 15 minutes from Paya Lebar to Simei stations. Train service is still slow but still available, and SMRT has just updated that it is working to recover its services.
