Dear A.S.S. Editor

Oh dear! Loansharks are now targeting primary schools to leave their vandalism mark, just to get back at the people who are presumed to owe them money. Their modus operandi now changed, from targeting block of flats where debtors live, to schools where their children go to.

The latest incident occurred at White Sands Primary School, where splashes of red paint streaked the wall beside the school’s main gate in Pasir Ris Street 11, while “O$P$” was daubed in black paint. Police say this incident is related to loansharking activities. This is not the first time a school had been targeted. Last month, a man was convicted of splashing paint at a Tanjong Pagar pre-school attended by a debtor’s children.

Now, this is unacceptable. It was already unacceptable that the loansharks go around and vandalise HDB estates, to actually go and vandalise schools are already too much. Police are investigating, hopefully, then can arrest the person responsible for this vandalism. How can you target a place where kids are sent to get an education?
