WILL THE JURONG WEST INTERNET OUTAGE DRAG PAST 24 HOUR MARK?

Dear A.S.S. Editor

The Jurong West internet outage that affected customers in the area since Tuesday afternoon, is still not solved yet. In a most recent update, fibre network operator NetLink Trust discovered two new damaged cables, and services are expected to resume only this afternoon, instead of by 4 am today which had been announced earlier.

Apparently, the fault was found to have been confirmed at a Boon Lay Avenue worksite, caused by a third party contractor doing piling works. Customers affected are from all three telcos, Singtel, M1 and StarHub, as well as MyRepublic.

This is a real serious outage, affecting thousands of customers. The network operator better get ready for some serious questions asked of them once this is solved.
