20 year old Malaysian college student Nur Izzati Adi was charged with murder for drowning her newborn baby in a toilet bowl in her hostel. Initially, the police thought she was trying to hide the birth or dispose of the dead body but later found out that her son was actually born alive.
The first year student at an agricultural institution in Malaysia did not plea against the charge as it was read out to her. She was later taken to the Pokok Sena prison. The case will be mentioned again in June after the post-mortem report is completed.
