Pinoy engineer Jan Benedict Mendoza Fuellas was jailed 16 weeks for attempting to outrage the modesty of women in Singapore. He had taken many upskirt videos during his time in Singapore.
A 24 year old Singaporean was riding the escalator on August 19 last year when he saw the pinoy standing very close to the female victim with his handphone strategically placed on his lap. The brave Singaporean stood up to the pinoy and demanded to know what he was doing. The witness alerted the victim and together they managed to subdue Fuellas and refer him to the control station. When the station master checked Fuellas’ phone, he found several videos that were locked with a password. He requested Fuellas to unlock and decrypt the videos. Realizing he was caught, the Pinoy provided the password.
A total of 38 upskirt videos of women were found on Fuellas’ phone. All the videos were taken at MRT stations in Singapore. These were taken into account in his sentencing.
